The U.S. dollar has seen renewed strength as late, hitting a 10-month high on March 30. Perceived as a safe haven investment during times of turmoil and bolstered by oil price hikes — and the U.S. being a net crude exporter — the dollar continues to show signs of resilience (via Reuters).
Nike is poised to release its third-quarter report as March 31 draws to a close, with analysts largely expecting mixed results. Revenue is anticipated to come in at $11.2 billion, and EPS at $0.28, versus $0.54 last year (via Seeking Alpha).
DoorDash has announced partnerships with four new brands — Steve Madden, Urban Outfitters, Dolce Vita, and Rally House. “Expanding apparel on DoorDash allows us to better serve those [unexpected] occasions while also helping retailers connect with new customers,” said Shanna Prevé, CRO at DoorDash (via Chain Store Age).
Marks & Spencer is once again selling its wares in the U.S., this time via a collaboration with Nordstrom. M&S will be launching a curated capsule of womenswear in 30 Nordstrom U.S. stores, as well as an online offering (via Forbes).
